Blonde Wood and Blue

Hardwood floors in a blonde wood. Shades of blue layered across the walls and floors, from dark navy blue to lighter shades all in various textures creating a rich palette you want to run your fingers across. Dashes of yellow ocher on the doors and ornamentation with a healthy dose of white in the ceiling, door frames and furniture to help balance out the blue. New furniture contrasted against brightly colored vintage rugs. Dark blue, pink, purple and blonde wood, a unique and stunning color palette.

Apothecary style cabinets are definitely in trend. Personify them and add a touch of nature with organic type motifs such as butterlies.

Hague blue kitchen by Miles Redd. High gloss Hague Blue by Farrow & Ball – a rich deep teal color that creates a very sophisticated and mature space.

Hague blue in this kitchen is used in such quantity, from the walls, to the floor to ceiling kitchen cabinets and the skirtings, no place seems untouched by this shade. It is quite a dark color that closes the space in, it would not be suitable for very small kitchens, but in this relatively large kitchen it really works.

Loving the antique bronze faucets and finishes; an old school, drawing room charm is exuded, a real film noir quality.

A roughly painted wall with a decaying ornamental mural lends the real rustic chic element to this bedroom. This is then balanced with some added glamour seen in the crystal chandelier and pretty bedding including various fancy pillows in satin, velvet and with ruffles. The old trunk used as a bedside table brings in some vintage charm.
